From one barcode to a sheet of labels

Choose SVG if you will resize the label. Keep the white margins, avoid stretching the bars, and scan a printed sample before printing a batch. A successful preview does not verify print quality.

Need many labels from a spreadsheet? Follow the Game Funtastic guide to printing barcode labels from Excel. Game Funtastic is another project by the same maker.

Check a product number first

Use our check digit calculator to validate an existing number. For registration and ownership questions, see GS1’s EAN/UPC guidance.

For links, contact details and Wi-Fi, use the QR code generator instead.

Frequently asked questions

Which barcode should I choose?

Use Code 128 for internal inventory and asset tags. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A when a retailer requires that format and you have an assigned product number. Match the format your scanner and inventory software expect.

Does generating a barcode register my product?

No. A generator draws the symbol. It does not assign a GS1 identifier or verify ownership. The example retail numbers are for testing only.

Can I enter a number without its check digit?

Yes. EAN-8, UPC-A, EAN-13 and ITF-14 accept a number without its final digit and calculate it. A complete number is checked before export.

Are my barcode values uploaded?

No. The barcode and downloads are created locally in your browser. No account is required.
