Where to put your Wi-Fi QR code

  • Cafés and restaurants: on table tents, menus or the counter. Pair it with a menu QR code.
  • Holiday rentals: framed by the door or in the welcome guide.
  • Offices and events: on reception desks, badges and slides.
  • Home: on the fridge, so visitors stop asking.

Want a branded sign? Download the code, then use the QR-on-image editor to place it on your own design.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The iPhone Camera app (iOS 11+) and Android's camera or Google Lens (Android 10+) recognize Wi-Fi QR codes and offer to join the network.

Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?

The password is stored in the code in readable form, so anyone who scans it can see it — just like writing it on a card. Use a separate guest network for public spaces. QR Brand never sends your password to a server.

What if I change my Wi-Fi password?

You'll need a new code, because the password is stored inside the pattern. It takes seconds to regenerate here.

Which security type should I choose?

Almost every modern router uses WPA2 or WPA3 — choose “WPA / WPA2 / WPA3”. Only choose WEP for very old equipment, and None for open networks.
